Welcome to the official website of the Mercy Seat Baptist Church. We are located in the Birthplace of Texas, beautiful Washington, Texas. God has blessed us to be in service to him since 1894. Thus, we are celebrating our 130th anniversary this year!

Mercy Seat has stood the test of time and has a history that showcases that. After much prayer and planning, we are moving forward with building a new sanctuary. It is more than simply a building. It will be a place where the community is welcome to come and help us worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
